Forged by Fire
Forged by Fire is a battle book by Sharon Draper. It is about a boy named Gerald and the hardships he has to go through from age 3-17. After he is taken away from his drug addict mom, he ends up with his sweet Great Aunt Queen. All of a sudden, Gerald is nine and his mom comes back from rehab. This time she has a husband named Jordan Sparks. Isn't that ironic? Anyway, Gerald gets to meet his step sister Angel. But when his aunt dies, he is stuck with his mom and abusive step father. Then Gerald finds out that Jordan has been sexually abusing Angel. He ends up in jail for molester and is gone for 9 months. Later on he comes back when Angel is twelve and Gerald is 16. You will have to read the book to find out what happens next. (P.S. I rate this book a 9.9 :p :) 8=) )

Twilight Series
I just want to comment on the twilight series. Now, I know that it has become a best seller since it's become a hit movie. I thought that the first book was a 9.9 which is the highest rating I have and ever will give. I give the second book a 9.7. Both books were amazing and I bet the movies would have been too(if I had seen them).I don't want to write too much about it for a reason I don't feel like typing about. All I can say is that you NEED TO READ THE BOOKS!!! I cannot stress that enough! Once you read it you will not regret it. Also comment or whatever. Peace!

Fast Food
Well, I thought that I'd write about something besides books for once so, I shall write about fast food restaurants. We all know (hopefully) that fast food restaurants such as: Wendy's; Chicken Fillet; Burger King; McDonald's; Taco Bell; and etc. are helping to contribute to obesity. Now, I like to eat at these places often (more than I should) and I love the food at some of the places (more than others). I have some tips on how the restaurants should make there food. I'm going to use McD's as an example. I think that they could try adding no salt but giving out salt packets. They could also stop adding layer after layer of meat and stick with one piece. Maybe they could also make the salads more healthy by somehow reducing the calories. That's just my opinion!
Under a war-torn sky
I am here to write, yet again, about another Battle Book. Under a war-torn sky is a fiction novel by L.M. Elliott. This book is about 19 year-old Henry Forester, the youngest pilot in his Air Force squadron during WWII. I usually don't read history type books but once I started reading I couldn't stop. This book has an amazing plot, an interesting string of characters, and a ton of suspense. During Henry's 15th mission (usually when pilots become missing in action) his plane is taken down. Henry finds himself having to put his life in the hands of others if he ever wants to get back home. I give this book a 9 out of 10. I suggest you read this book. Especially if you like to read history or war stories.

The City of Ember
The City of Ember by Jeanne DuPrau. Another Battle Book. I recently read this book and thought it was, excuse my grammer, stupendous! If I could rate it (Which I am about to) I would give it a 9.5 out of 10. A 9.5 because I don't believe in perfection. It has a great hook and leads you on. I found it impossible to put down. I finished it in two sittings (I currently have alot of spare time). The only part of the book that gave me frustration, is the fact that I've already seen the movie. I know that it doesn't seem like it'd be a big deal but it is. I found myself picturing the characters that I saw in the movie which were different than the given discription. I suggest that if you read this book, you read through the series. I can't because I have other things to do but when my reading schedual is open, I plan on reading the rest of the series. You should too! Also, if you like this blog, please spread the word. Also comment! Your opinion means alot to me.
The Unknowns
The Unknowns is a Battle Book by Benedict Carey. It is about a group of special children who try to save the town of Folsom Adjacent, an island that is mostly used as a garbage dump. It is not very sanitary. There greatest landmark, Mt. Trashmore, is pretty much what it's name implies. It is a giant mountain made of trash.
Anyway, the book mostly takes place on Adjacent but it also takes place on Crotona, the mainland. Now as we all know, every good book has to have some sort of plot. The thing that gets this book interesting is the reason the kids have to save the town. People are missing in Adjacent. I mean, everybody has to leave that trash heap every once in a while but regular people who usually don't leave without telling someone are missing. On a scale of 1 to 10 I rate this book a six. It had a problem inside a problem but it doesn't pull you in. Usually when I read a good book, it is almost impossible to put down but with this book, I found it surprisingly easy to put down which made it hard to finish in a reasonable amount of time. Plus, there was alot of math in the book and it tried to make you figure it out. I mean, if I wanted a math lesson I could of asked my math teacher. I am not saying don't read the book, I'm just saying that you should read it at your own risk. And if you like this blog, please comment and spread the word!
